Our mission is more refined.
In 2008, when the original GHTD documents were discovered, the newly re-organized group focused on maintaining as much historical authenticity as possible. Most of us were more interested in having fun than thwarting villians stealing equine in the dark of night.
Currently, our focus is developing a township trail system connecting Stonelick Lake with Loveland Trails
And now that we have a permanent hone (see "Hide-Out" page) we expect to move quickly to establish a trail system that is the finest in Ohio.
MEMBERS
Anyone 18 years of age (or wiser) can join the organization. Living in Goshen or owning a horse is not required. We welcome all who wish to have fun, meet new people, participate in parades, and provide a public service by assisting in the recovery of stolen property when called upon.
MEMBER DIVISIONS
Although we anticipate serving in a support role at special events or when asked by township officials, the Goshen Horse-Thief Detectives Ltd. is NOT affiliated with Goshen Township or any other law enforcement agency.
We are registered with the Ohio Secretary of State as a Limited Liability Company
(non-profit) (certificate #201004100125).
We are in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) status, which would allow us to seek private foundation grants and would also make contributions to the organization (including dues) tax exempt.
