Future Events

Two and a half years ago, the dormant GHTD hoped to re-activate area interest in Horse activities.

The Goshen Township Trustees, through the efforts of township staff and volunteers, designed a township wide horse trail and hiking system running from Stonelick Lake (Wayne Township) through our Goshen "Town Center" and connecting with the Loveland Bike/Horse trails.

Easement acquisition and trail construction will be accomplished using volunteers and grants. It is hoped that parts of the system will be ridable in 2012.

    In 2010, the GHTD were granted a perpetual easement for 13 acres at Marr Park. (see "Hide-Our Area" page)

    From our "Hide-Out" trailhead, the "Trails" Committee will seek easements from property owners South to Stonelick Lake and North to Loveland Trails.

     Throught this year, numerous events are planned. Please watch our calendar.

To ensure the safety of parade participants and observers, members who wish to participate with mounts must first satisfy parade entry requirements as established by the Mounted Division leadership. Horses and riders must be evaluated to determine whether rider skill and horse temperament is satisfactory. All Riders must have qualified "Outwalkers" for parades.
