GOSHEN HORSE-THIEF DETECTIVES
Future Events

Goshen Township, through the efforts of township staff and volunteers, has developed a township wide horse trail and hiking system running from Stonelick Lake (Wayne Township) through our Goshen "Town Center" and connecting with the Loveland Bike/Horse trails.

Easement acquisition and trail construction will be accomplished using state and federal grants. It is expected parts of the system will be ridable in 2010.

Because of the natural enthusiasm for the Goshen Horse/Hiking trail system, the revitalization of the "Goshen Horse-Thief Detectives" as an auxilary organization has flourished.

To ensure the safety of parade participants and observers, members who wish to participate with mounts must first satisfy parade entry requirements as established by the Mounted Division leadership.  Horses and riders must be evaluated to determine whether rider skill and horse temperament is satisfactory. All Riders must have qualified "Outwalkers" for parades.

The Goshen Park Commissioners have unofficially endorsed "Terror on the Trails", the latest event hosted by the Goshen Horse-Thief Detectives.

The event is open every weekend in October, 2009.
It is suitable for all age groups. Proceeds will be used to design and construct "level 5" scare sites throughout the trail.

Beginning in 2010, the truly foolish can ride the "haywagons of death along the trail after dark.
A Waiver of liability must be signed by all participants.
