Since Roman times, parades, especially those including horses, have forged community unity and pride. Competition developed among the participants, attempting to draw favor of the crowds and in some cases, collecting coins thrown in an expression of gratitude for the effort.
It is generally conceded, that the forerunner of todays "Grand Marshal" was the "Marshal of the Poo".
In that tradition, we dedicate this page to the "Marshal of the Poo". And. we have included an application for those interested in beginning the Apprentice Marshal of the Poo Program.
In honor of our past Poo Marshals, we hope you will learn their faces and throw coins to them should you see them in future parades.
