Parade Qualifying
Members of the "Mounted Division" MUST qualify horse and rider before entering in parade activity. Both are required to successfully navigate a variety of obstacles and demonstrate a calm demeanor when under simulated parade conditions. Although the qualification process seems routine for most, it is designed to identify horses and/or riders that may respond poorly in a parade environment. The safety of horse, rider and spectator is the primary concern.
We encourage participation in parades. Those members with mounts should contact the Mounted Lt. by clicking on the heading "ABOUT US" to schedule qualification.
Obviously, the qualification process does not apply to those members walking (or wagon riding) in the parade.
